Looking for a GOOD left aileron PN 0523800

I'm trying to help out a friend who's looking for a left aileron for his 1958 C-172. It's a part number 0523800 and I think that the late model C-170's use the same PN (but that's just what I had heard from folks). He's tried salvage yards but has had no luck whatsoever. Any lead would be very much appreciated!
