Time for a New Windshield

Post by airwolf1980 »

I need to replace the windshield on my 1952 170B. Any info or opinions on one piece or two piece, which brand, and any "how to" would be appreciated.

I've had the best results with LP Aeroplastics and like their fit. I like the center strip (called a 2-piece even though it'd a single piece with a center reinforcement) because it keeps the classic look AND provides better birdstrike protection. I also like the seaplane braces (V-Brace) because it keeps the whole windshield more stable in the airframe and gives you something to grab onto while adjusting your seat.
