Doorseals

Post by GAHorn »

I rec'd a question from one of our members on doorseals, and thought I'd post what I found.

The factory put several different types of seals in the doors along the way.
Univair sells what they claim is an original Cessna doorseal, their PN
S249-2 for .73 cents per foot. It appears to be a hollow quarter-round
type. My own airplane has what looks like their PN 187-610, (which was also used by brand "P", 8O ) which works flawlessly, priced at $1.37 per foot ( or PN 187-610s, which is surplus for .87 cents per ft.)

George

Thanks for the info! Just yesterday, I decided I really need to replace the doorseals on my 170B. The old ones look like they were bought at Home Depot!

What about the seals for the windows? Those are looking a little tattered on my bird too.

Thanks.
