Well, when it rains it pours....
In addidition to the fuel leak (see posts below) the gen/voltage reg has some issues. I'm trying to understand the numbers on top of the generator. They are listed as such:
Delco-Remey 1101879
Serial Number 2725
12 Volt
There is a 25 Amp C/B in the Cabin. Does this mean I have a 25 Amp Generator? Previous posts stated the number was stamped on top of the Gen, but I don't see anything the clearly states "25 Amps" on the case.
Thanks again,
Lee

Yes. The Delco-Remy 1101879 is a 25 amp generator. This is the maximum amperage generator usable with aircraft with the undamped crankshaft. You can tell if your crank is undamped by looking at the propeller flange on the crank. If it has a 1/4 in. hole drilled in the flange, it is undamped. The letter "D" in the C145 serial number is also supposed to indicate a damped crank, but with all the switching around of parts in these old engines the only way to tell for sure is to check for the hole.Pavewlc wrote:Does this mean I have a 25 Amp Generator?
