Aileron skins

Post by n3833v »

Where is the best place to purchase skins for the 48 ragwing? I have some cracks in the aileron and need to replace the convoluted skin.

Call Kark Anderson 360-757-1946. He advertises in T-A-P. I see in there that an outfit called Air Metal fabricators 509-923-2274 advertises "Cessna style corrugated skin stock" and trailing edge bulb.

I know someone that reskins/builds cessna flight controls. He is in Southern Alabama. He made a flap for my 170 and did an excellent job and the price was very reasonable. He also built and tail for a friend's 195. I would think he could help you with skins or do the work for you. I do not think he would mind if I posted his business number here, as he does advertise.

ask for Stephan Schomp and tell him I recommended him.
