Panel cover fasteners
For a 53B- parts catalog page 76, part number #49265-F-938, where is the best place to obtain a set? Thanks to Paul Wood I now have a panel cover to work with but need the screws. I've tried a number of places on line but the part number is not recognized.
Thanks, ........Scott

Re: Panel cover fasteners
Those are not screws, they are United-Carr fasteners. You can obtain them from Del Lehmann at Mountain Airframe. 479-437-3333 ( I saw he had a whole bag of them.)
They are also known as Cessna PN S-1898-2, fastener, and sell for about 30-cents each. Hill Aircraft 800-998-7832

His forums registration does not show him to be a member. What's wrong with this picture? Either he's not properly registered (and missing out on valuable forums benefits) or he's not a TIC170A member.4583C wrote:Uh... George you're about a year late!gahorn wrote:

Re: Panel cover fasteners
Remember George one who is a member has to send his membership number along with his forum user name to Dale and Dale must add them to the membership group. We may have a few forum participants who have not done that and may not know that they can and should.
Though it would seem that Paul is his TIC170A mentor and being the computer savvy Mac using forum participant we know Paul to be well, it must just be an oversight. No doubt because Paul has been two busy getting his airplane ready for Diluthe to keep such close tabs on his TIC170A grasshopper.

Re: Panel cover fasteners
Thanks George for the direction to find my "fasteners". I don't know what shows up on your screen but mine shows the posters join time and date on the right of the post. I'm also listed in the "09" membership directory. I guess if I'm not properly registered I'll have to follow up.
Thanks again for the info.

Well, Scott, it's possible you are presently signing in at another person's computer and/or using another persons username... OR.. you could simply not have re-registered/updated your profile after you joined.
When I view your profile, your membership status is not displayed, which tells us that the forums doesn't recognize your membership....it thinks you are a non-member participant.
This means you will not have access to all the features of this website until your status is updated. Send an email to the webmaster at cessna170.org
And WELCOME! if it hasn't already been extended!

Yes Scott send the webmaster a note including your forum user name and TIC170A number so George can sleep better.

Scott, sorry you had trouble before with the forum membership thing. It use to be easier but like most things on the web spammers have made us make it more difficult.

Re: Panel cover fasteners
Scott, I've sent the webmaster an alerting email. Please contact him with your username, real name, etc. at webmaster@cessna170.org to straighten this out. Dale should be able to fix this if we can figure out what happened.
Sometimes it's necessary to re-register when someone joins the forums then switches to regualr TIC170A membership ...yet they desire to retain their original non-member username.
I'm sure we can get it resolved, and that way you will have all areas of the website enabled for you.
Best regards (and sorry I didn't recognize you the first time.)
George
