ragwing inner cowl

Post by kboyette »

I've got a '48 ragwing with a worn out inner cowl, does any one know where I can find a new one?

Try an ad in the Flypaper,or call the salvage outfits. I've seen several that were re-built and/or fabricated from scratch that looked really nice.
I've also seen several early models (48-52) that were converted to pressure cowl baffling (no airbox on top of the engine).

Inner Cowl

After asking for plans or patterns, I ended up fabricating all the baffles and inner cowl....Substituted a piano hinge when adding the sides to the
center portion. Suggest you use what you have as your guide....
Good Luck.
