online TCDS information

Post by zero.one.victor »

George (or anyone else),in the past you have made reference to info from TCDS's which you said was available on the FAA website. I didn't have much luck actually getting the text from any TCDS from the FAA site. Can you post a link,or something? In this case,I'm specifically interested in the Piper TriPacer,a friend recently bought a PA-22/20 (tailwheel-converted TriPacer),his first airplane, and he wants to have a copy of the TCDS. Thanks.

Here you go. http://www.airweb.faa.gov/Regulatory_an ... enDocument This link will take you right to the PA-22 TCDS.

Here is the link to the TCDS page http://www.airweb.faa.gov/Regulatory_an ... enFrameSet

And since this the the 170 site here is the link to the 170 TCDS: http://www.airweb.faa.gov/Regulatory_an ... enDocument
And all the links for the Continental C-145/0-300: http://www.airweb.faa.gov/Regulatory_an ... &Count=100#

The FAA site is a little tricky. It is http://www.faa.gov. On the fist page in the blue panel to the left about mid way down you'll see a link "Pilots and Aircraft Owners". clickinbg this takes you to another page. In the middle of this page under Regulations and Guideance yo will see a link to "Type Certificate Data Sheets". Click here and search for the aircraft of engine you want. These are all PDFs that you can download.
I love the PA20/22 or PA 22/20 which you friend just bought and if I could afford a hanger I'd have one. They also have a great site like ours on the web for tech support which I read daily till I bought my 170.
CAUTION - My forum posts may be worth what you paid for them!
