The FUZZ is unlikely to issue a field approval for any modification that has an active STC available.

Unless it has some significant difference in design or method of accomplishment.

Out of curiosity, what would be considered a reasonable price for a set of 180 legs, assuming "reconditioned" and primed?

That brings up another question... When installing 180 legs on a 170, would the 180 axles be required as well, or can the existing 170 axles be bolted to the 180 legs, along with the 170 brakes, etc?

Everything fits ......but if you're going to the trouble and expense of 180 legs
you might want to install solid aluminum, or steel axles for extra strength and
safety.
new steel axles are around $300. each

good luck.........

Thanks Jim. I do already have the solid axles, so I will definitely keep them.
