Re: Gear legs
How much was the Aero STC for the 180 legs?
Re: Gear legs
The FUZZ is unlikely to issue a field approval for any modification that has an active STC available.

Re: Gear legs
Out of curiosity, what would be considered a reasonable price for a set of 180 legs, assuming "reconditioned" and primed?

Re: Gear legs
That brings up another question... When installing 180 legs on a 170, would the 180 axles be required as well, or can the existing 170 axles be bolted to the 180 legs, along with the 170 brakes, etc?blueldr wrote:I sold the last pair of axle forward, C-180, gear legs for an offered $2200.00.

Re: Gear legs
Everything fits ......but if you're going to the trouble and expense of 180 legs
you might want to install solid aluminum, or steel axles for extra strength and
safety.
new steel axles are around $300. each
good luck.........

Re: Gear legs
Thanks Jim. I do already have the solid axles, so I will definitely keep them.Jimmy M. wrote:Everything fits ......but if you're going to the trouble and expense of 180 legs
