OLE GAR SEZ - 4 Boats, 4 Planes, 4 houses. I've got to quit collecting!
Re: Anybody missing winter yet??????
Willie, nice photo's (since I am not having to work livestock in that weather). Gar's photos are pretty typical of what we are seeing here in Granbury. Temps at 0TX1 Saturday were in the low 80's! It won't be too long though before we will want a bit of you winter air to calm the hot Texas temps. Have a good one!

Hey there King Louie.....so you like coffee and snow eh. Welcome to the forum. What else do you like? Where you from? do you own your own plane? What kind of aircraft do you fly? Everyone knows I like pictures, maybe you could post some of your flying.
Anyway welcome and don't be afraid to jump in and say a few things from time to time.

It's been a long perpetual winter up here. Five months of snow pack, and not just a few inches but several feet this year.
Too much snow for ski flying. The low pressure systems are almost perpetual with another one coming Saturday evening.
4 to 11 more inches forecast depending on how much falls as rain.

Heck we forgot what summer is like.

Re: Anybody missing winter yet??????
We had our first 70-degree day in Tehachapi yesterday, but there's still a bit of snow on the peaks. May be time to continue on with the refurb... Last year we had snow in town on Sunday the day before Memorial Day, so we probably aren't out of the woods yet. Yesterday was also the first 90-degree day down in the desert; I think they're safe.

Re: Anybody missing winter yet??????
Where is "here". I'd like to visit for the pleasant temperatures, but did not find it in the airport codes list.
Truthfully, I don't want to leave here, spring is warming up nicely and the daylight hours are past the perfect duration - longer than 13 hours. Flying has been excellent with the calm spring days also.
We drilled through 35 inches of ice on Thursday, waaay thicker than normal for Fire Lake. A couple photos from last weekend.
