Insurance requires a CFI check ride
I would like to praise this association for all the help it has been to me in looking for the prefect 170. I may have found that "one" and have an annual scheduled for the third week in September. If it all goes well and nothing major is found and the owner can part with her, we should close that week. I have been looking for insurance quotes. Looks like I will need a CFI check ride in "my" new plane or a 170. Does anyone know of a CFI checked out in 170s in the Atlanta GA area that I could contact? I have 1600 hours total, 600 tail dragger time, (300 in a C140) and 4 hours in a 170. Would be a good idea to get a check before I fly solo back to VA. Thanks for the information and advise on this forum. I will soon be joining the Association. GARY

Harold, thank you for the information. Is Susan a red head. If so, I had talked to her via email about where to have an annual done. I will fire her off an email today and ask who she gets her lessons from. The plane I am looking at is at Gwinnett but the annual will be done at Cobb county. Maybe I can get checked out while the plane is getting it's annual. Thanks again. GARY
Your email system is certainly more advanced than mine, can't tell the color of anybody's hair on mine!Gary wrote:Harold, thank you for the information. Is Susan a red head.
