flaps on 48/ 170

this years annual finds my flap hinges to show some wear, part of one hinge pin has broke,about 1'' on right wing inboard part of hinge. this is on a 1948 170,cloth wing. has anyone experienced this sort of problem and what is fix,,,,,,what about fowler style on my 170 ,,,just a thought

Hinge material can be purchased and cut to length. Have not seen a rag wing's hinge setup, but on the A model it is very simple. It was my inboard hinge also. You can pay around $90 for a hinge made for Cessna, or you can buy about 4 feet of it from Spruce for less than $20 if memory is working. You will have to drill the holes, no biggie - use your existing hinge for a guide, and cut to length. You may want to buy new fasteners depending on condition.
