Cockpit pictures of Space Shuttle

Post by johneeb »

We have now all seen on TV how the last Space Shuttle is now in Los Angeles.
Here is one final picture of the cockpit with everything powered one for one
last picture before the electronics and secret stuff were pulled out / removed.

Additionally, the last commander ordered erased all the flight deck graffiti
signed by all the crews over 25 missions. Too bad.

Very interesting. I'm surprized that it's not much different than a C-170B with a big engine and an extended baggage compartment.

Seriously, they are great pictures, Thanks, John.

And all that is waaay out-of-date!

Deceased Member Earl Eastabrooks was a NASA Simulator Instructor in those things. Interesting to note also that not ONE ...was like any other. They are all unique aircraft.

Little-known fact about shuttle flights: EACH flight was an EXPERIMENTAL which toyed with disaster.
