Has anyone replaced their pedals with late model 172 pedals

Being a stamped part I'd guess they would be made out of 5052 or 6061 and then heat treated. I asked Pete at Air Repair but never got an answer on that. He did say however,
WE HAVE NEW L-19 PEDALS P/N 0660453 IN STOCK FOR $79.00 THESE SHOULD BE THE SAME AS WHAT YOU HAVE. MOST OF THE TIME THE ONLY DIFF. IS THE 170 STUFF STARTS WITH 03 AND THE L19 WITH 06.
That's some good information to keep tucked away when looking for new parts from Cessna.

That's some good information to keep tucked away when looking for new parts from Cessna.
Trouble is....it's not true.
Many 170 parts begin with 04 or 05. And the subsequent numbers may have absolutey NOTHING in common with otherwise similar parts. While it may be similar with some parts...it is not to be relied upon for identicality. (Cessna generally used drawing numbers to determine part numbers....but not always do the drawing numbers correspond.)
