Bruce, are parts available for these, like through Spruce? I took a quick look, but it seemed they only carry newer model parts....

Depends what you call new but yes parts have been available. We haven't really needed any though as my partner has small stock pile. However 3 years ago a coil went bad. He ordered two, one for each mag from either Spruce or El Reno. When they arrived they were mil surplus from 1946 stored in hermetically sealed cans. We hated to open them.

Ok, thanks. I have the two from the "new" engine that are currently just sitting around. I'll look into them and see if they need anything. It's nice to know I can find replacement parts, if needed.
