made it to and back from oshkosh.
Monday thru thursday!!
was very nice!
had occasion to meet john renwick and his friend elaine,
who parked right next to us in row 81 in the 180 section!!
they were very nice people who got to put up with me and my two kids.
also took pics of the L4s at oshkosh; about 250 of them!!

Our family has some grapefruit/orange groves down in the Texas valley, and it's a tradition that we all gather there around late Nov/early Dec to picnic and pick grapefruit to carry home.
Invariably after lunch, some of the kids will get into an "orange-lobbing" contest while the parents pick up after the picnic.
My daughter, Ashley, was 9 and was on the receiving end of such an orange which hit her in the right eye with similar results. I was holding her and consoling her while she sobbed, and I said, "I'm so sorry you're hurt, sweetheart. I wish it were me instead."
Without hesitation she replied, "Me too."

Taken JAN 12, 2008 (About 1 1/2 months after my broken hip and partial hip replacement) I eased out onto the deck and shot this morning sunrise. It looked so much like a forest fire that at first, I was a some concerned.

nothing like them
especially with an airplane
sitting for lying somewhere nearby!
