So I'd appreciate if we take a pole. How many 170s have this hole in the bracket? All of them? Or maybe only those that had the stretcher option installed. Can't wait to get this response.[/quote]
Bruce
Even though my seat has been modified my seat latch does not have the hole. Either the seat is from a dirrerent plane, or the bracket has been replaced, I know my plane has been damaged and a lot of skins replaced long ago.
The E bay strecher is pretty neat , but it is not same as the install for the 170

Bruce, Time to click "Buy it Now"! I found
AK172-52Q and placed it in the Maintenance Library. The 170 is listed as an applicable aircraft which to me means no STC required.

There are two length stretchers, the shorter one not available in the beginning. It is mentioned however in the install instructions for the B model that Gary uploaded. The shorter one is what is pictured in the owners manual and does not require the seat to be folded forward.

Unfortunately that is not an original Cessna stretcher.

What is not an original stretcher? The one in Richards picture or the one for sale that requires the front seat to be removed?

The one on the auction WAS an original Cessna Service Kit stretcher, just not for the C-170, it was for the C-180 series. If someone needed to use a stretcher it would fit a C-170 just fine.

Richard, ...even the advertisement at the auction clearly indicated it is NOT an original Cessna stretcher. It is an aftermarket STC'd unit (with no STC paperwork.)
