The intrudction of the spring is no problem, if you use the above critera! I have found after releasing the tention from the rudder, find a way to forse the rudder peddel you are working forward, I use a gallon paint can. Make sure you intrudce the spring to the forward hole so that the tang is pisioned to come in from the outside (or for a better way to say it from the tunnel to the center of the a/c) on the rudder bar. you can do it by hand (if you have itibity hands) good luck.

OK ... I'm planning on replacing both tomorrow AM with my A/P buddy ...
I have been looking it over and it looks to be a little tricky. Any more helpful tips before we have at it? :) :)

Also, what is the proper "orientation" of the springs? It is not clear in the parts manual. Should the end that attaches to the rudder enter the hole from the center of the plane out or vice versa? Currently it is "vice versa" and this looks like it might be easier.

Reread my post above yours. Thats the proper orientation. And isn't to hard to do.
