This thread also describes in more detail ways to clean and lap the older valves to perhaps salvage them.
I've got no idea what a salvage yard might want for a valve.

Typical salvage prices are 50% of new on most parts.
The original (older) valve was made by Weatherhead, who is still in business. Aircraft Spruce offers a non-approved such valve (but watch the fitting sizes...they can probably provide you with a contact at Weatherhead, however, should you wish to call them directly) for less than $30. There is also a 4-way (4-port) version PN6747, for left/right/both/off also.(Here is the 3-way, PN6749 pictured.)
