On my 55' B-Model and 8.50's the answer varies between 8-24 PSI. If I am playing on river sandbars with loose river rock or sandy surfaces AND I am at a very light weight, I will go as low as 8-10 pounds. This does increase the chance of a tire slipping on the rim if coming home and landing on pavement though. Luckily I don't have to worry about that at my home field. For most flights/loads where I am flying off of various non-prepared surfaces at normal weights, usually between 18-20 lbs. Max weight trips operating off of pavement, I'm right back to the standard 24PSI. I tend to inflate my tailwheel to just over 40 PSI and let it slowly creep down over time until near 30 and refill.
