Well, I'm new to the 170 club. I'm actually restoring N5000A which is the first 172 (sn 28000). I also need an overlay like the on gahorn posted photos of. Any help would be appreciated.

Ya, she's in Quincy, IL now. I've had her for about a year and a half. Really got started on the restoration in July. Now all paint is stripped, interior and windows all out. Wings are off in my hangar being polished now. Fuselage is down the taxiway at AirSpectrum who is doing the complete inside as we speak. I need to set up an online photo book with all the photos.

FYI - during the Benton Harbor flyin (fun time) I wound up in Dawagiac (C91) MI a couple of times. There was a former car dealer
based there that has an early 172 that has won the best original plane at Oshkosh in the past. When you look it is in the
the row of past winners. If you are interested in seeing it he is really nice guy and the FBO can probably get you together.

Hi Guys!

I bought a 56 Cessna 172. I'm looking for the panel overlay. Do somebody has one to sell?

Best regards!

Dennis, i was born and raised in Quincy, soloed off rwy 31 at UIN and met my wife at the airport resturant. We will be in town on the 27th or 28th for a few days. I would love to stop by and see your project.
