I took this to document that the plane was intact prior to my departure
That new paint must really be heavy ... it’s way harder to move in and out of the hangar than I remember

Cajun Connection way down south, most of you are yankees to me!
I know it's been a frustrating effort trying to get recurrent in 83C but we finally made it! I enjoyed traveling, flying, and hanging out with you all those times. It's always a pleasure to fly with someone who is really trying to improve their skills and it's definitely a pleasure flying in a pristine freshly restored plane, especially a 170.
Now you can get comfortable flying the old girl again at your own pace. I hope the weather allows you to get out at least 2 or 3 times a week until you feel like you're "back in the saddle". Have fun and let me know when you want to meet at Cooper's Bar-B-Q in Llano for lunch.

You're BACK BABY !! So glad Paul to know you've returned to the air.
Now should we transfer your handle over to that infamous Louisiana slacker, not you Ron,
Ole Gar.?
Congratulations Paul. I knew you could do it. Now get comfortable with it because we want to see “the beast” in Cody.
Remember, any landing where the plane can be reused is a good one!

Another milestone today! I was working on my plan to help fund the federal government when Debra sent me a text and requested I take her flying since it was such a beautiful day,and she had an hour that wasn’t committed. Well I hated to leave the computer and all those numbers but when SHE asks to fly I had to oblige her request. Looked at my logbook when I got home and noticed the last time she flew with me was October of 92 when we went to Roswell for Benedict’s fly-in. I’m encouraged, she actually enjoyed it!
Contrary to what I see from that picture we did NOT fly inverted!
