Might try covering the chemical stripper with plastic sheet which can help the stripper react with the paint and keep it from drying out.

Covering stripper with plastic traps the gases and keeps the stripper working and not allowing it to dry out. I followed the instructions for each product as printed on the label. I would have liked the CitriStrip to work. It did not stink and had a nice consistency which spread nicely. The typical stuff can easily be spread to thin which doesn't allow it to work as well as it could.

Spraying it with a cheap spray pot worked best for me as less product worked better.

CitriStrip in the jug is thick enough you'd need a grease pump to move it. The product does come in a aerosol (I think I remember seeing it).

The typical stripper does come in aerosol also. I decided, at least when I'm working on the fuselage as a whole, that there were areas I did not want the stripper to get on and aerosol would be to dangerous in that regard.

You need to be the first to do a full on RhinoLiner job. They make it in many colors now, so you can choose your performance level
Seriously, MIL-P-23377 (there are numerous revisions) primers work well. I know Sherwin Williams offers it in GREEN. We use it alone to primer internal structure, and skin laps. Instruction say if you don't apply paint within 24 hours you must scuff the primer and apply another coat, then paint. So, I think it would offer protection without causing problems with a future paint job. Most importantly, you'd look really cool. I have seen this Mil spec primer available from any vendors in many shades of green and yellow. You could have quite the patch quilt.

Wow. He lets it sit for 24 hours. I do not have the patience for that. I do need to get some of those 3M stripper pads. They look like they'll come in handy and do a real nice job taking the paint off.
