Fuel selector for Model C170A (1951)

Post by HENIONJ »

To C-170 forum:

Does anyone know where or how to obtain a replacement fuel selector valve/hardware for a C-170A? Mine is very stiff and nearly impossible to switch between tanks because it is so stiff. It may be that overhaul or replacement of seals would help, but it is tempting to just replace it with a new one if available.

I would very much appreciate any constructive advice on this topic from experienced members.

Thanks

As discussed on other posts, replacing the fuel selector can get pricey. Rebuilting is easy. Removing the selector can bring some choice words but not the worst thing I've ever done. There are two types of fuel selectors. Figure out which one you have and go from there. If you can't fidn the info you need searching this site email me and I'll help if I can.
