Looking for a flap handle assembly

Hi All,

New to this posting but I have been following along. Great information as I am a new Pilot.

My conundrum is a problem I have with the flap handle on my 1955 cessna 170b . The indent button fell into the handle.
Does anyone know the fix or do I need a new assembly. Used possibly.

Sixty and still learning.

Thank you,

Neal

Neal, more than likely yours can be repaired by a competent mechanic who repairs aircraft not just change parts. Likely the control rod the button pushes wore and broke and needs to be fabricated new or repaired.

Neal...this is PRECISELY the same falure which I experienced not long ago....and which I wrote about..(and the FIX).

Your knob/button fell into the handle because the actuating rod came loose from the operating lever.
Here is a "link" to the problem...and the permanent FIX:
