Plugged the170 in and planned to fly yesterday before it got really cold, but couldn't get the hangar door opened. So instead we went ice fishing!

I'm trying to remember - we do we live here????

Willie,
The cows are all snug in the byre, so add and extra log to the fire and watch some playoff football!

I work for a company with an office in the Twin Cities. I was there a few weeks ago during some zero degree weather. Walking down the hallway I overheard a guy say, "My wife told me to put on a long sleeved shirt. I told her I'd put on a long sleeved shirt when real winter gets here!" I'm guessing he's done that now.

Sunday, 5 Jan 14, 1340 hours, 68 f degrees on my front porch. It was some cooler this morning at 0700 when I went out to pick three oranges for my morming OJ fix. But we have a state income tax, an 8 per cent sales tax, and Gas costs about $3.50 per gallon!

Although not a heat wave, it was in the mid to upper 50's today so I spent some time changing the oil in the plane and unpacking some things in the hangar. Schools closed tomorrow as the high is forecasted to be around 8 degrees!!!! Tough on us southerners :!:

I thought of you when I heard the forecast, because its been 4 years this week since our last serious cold spell. I think we discussed some of the humorous and not so humorous points of that event. I hope you fare well

I'm guessing that was by choice and if so prices were good. I sold way down too just a couple months ago. Makes life much simpler at times like these.

Stay warm everybody

6° in central Illinois currently with a windchill of -20°. We're supposed to get down to -16° tonight with a windchill I've heard of greater than -50°. I've never experienced such cold anywhere I've lived. Luckily, I haven't had the need to go outside today, nor will I tomorrow, it seems. My work has been tentatively closed, and my wife's work may be closed tomorrow as well. Crossing my fingers that our power doesn't go out.
