So, I installed the later model cabin light in my '52 and it seems way too far forward.
Does this look normal? I
If not, could someone with the later model light measure out where the rivets are in the roof?

I would say that is too far forward. I dug through Greg's thread because I knew he had a picture that would demonstrate this... I tried attaching the picture but says it's too big. Anyways if you go to page 12 post 6 there's a picture.

So, it looks like the late model bracket location is the front mount for the new light.

Hmm, That last photo puts the light in about the same place mine is.
Just behind the cabin speaker

How is the front of the light supported?
Mine was so close to the speaker support, I was able to run two #4 screws into the speaker support from the lights two front holes.

While you cannot see it in my picture the front of the light fixture is mounted to the speaker housing just like in David's picture.

Are the speaker domes the same and/or in the same location in the 53B models onward?
