I need some tips on installing Bendix magnetos on C-O300.
1) When installing the ignition wire block (?) to the back of the mag, what is the best method to mate the rubber items back into the magneto itself?
2) Is there a easy way to determine the orientation of the ignition block (part with the ignition wires attached) to the magneto? Obviously if not done properly the timing would be incorrect.

It is an eccentric shape, it will only fit one way.

And I think your asking how to get the rubber ends of all six leads to slip into the mag body as the tend to stick and bind. I would use some DC-4 as a lube on the rubber ends to push the mess of leads in far enough to engage the screw in the threads a few turns and then carefully and evenly turn the screws to force the plate and the leads home. At least that is the way I remember doing it. It's been a while.

X2. Wiggle the harness when tightening and things will fit together
