Hi, was looking to buy a use accessory case for my C-145-2, due oil filter tread damage, found a couple on internet for sale but they have the oil screens filters in reverse. My engine has small screen left, bigger oil scene right, and both cover show opposite sides, big screen left, small screen right, the sellers pretend they fit 0n c-145 or o-300. Does anybody knows if continental had two versions of that particular case, does not look right to me....Jean

Jean, there is at least major 2 versions.
One is commonly called a 3 hole and the other a 5 hole. Look at your accessory case and count the bolt holes for the bolts that go into the sump only. There will be 3 or 5.

3 hole
This is not pictured or listed in the parts manual

5 hole
This version has 3 different models 53007A1 for C-145/0-300 A & B. 627881A3 for the 0-300-C and 627881A1 for the 0-300-D
Both versions have the big screen to the right. Maybe the photo you are looking at has been reversed.

Tanks Bruce, will take a closer look at my airplane and at the picture of the ad...do you know if it is possible to repair damages treads inside the accessory cover or do I have to replace it...? Still work ok for know but my ame thinks it might not pass the next major overhaul...

Some one flipped the pictures when they posted them.
Threads can be repaired by a thread comb.
Send it to me I'll fix it if can be. (cheaper than a new one).
If it is working, don't fool with it let the overhauler deal with it.
