Does anyone know of some one or some way to get a 337 on 175 wings for my 170B?

Our MX library (Assoc'n Member access only) contains a non-engineering letter from Cessna authorizing replacement wings from other 100-series airplanes to be grafted as long as the donor aircraft is of equal or greater gross weight (which the 175 certainly is.)
Of course, certain fitment issues exist, such as fuel gauge differences (175 was electric/170 was mechanical) and flap cable arrangements will have to be accommodated, etc..

Mechanical gauges can be fitted to 175 tanks (welding), the cables fit between models. Great mod if your using more power.

Would it be easier to just put the 175 tanks in the 170 wing?
How hard/expensive is it to source a set of straight 175 wings?
I'm in the process of putting a TCM IO-360 on the front and have thought about increasing fuel capacity. Or rather restoring range

Depending on the condition of existing wings versus that of salvaged 175 wings, it might make sense to modify existing wings with 175 fuel tanks. Last estimate I heard hovered around $4500 to install 175 tanks, if memory serves. (I already have a set of N.O.S. 175 tanks but I don't remember if I informed the shop or recall if that included using them or if the shop expected to supply a set.)

David Ross,
My experience with the TCM IO-360 engine in the C-170B would not really indicate a necessity for additional fuel capacity to maintain aircraft range. I found that if I flew the airplane at the same speed as was done with the stock engine, the fuel burn was identical. Jackson, CA, to Nampa or Caldwell, ID, took 25 gallons.

I had good luck using that letter coupled with a 337 getting my installation approved as well as using the electric fuel senders and "Mitchell" peanut fuel gauges. You have to live with the 170 gross weight (Darn!)

I got my 175 wings approved a month ago, using the edm930 as the fuel gauges
