Control Cable Question

I'm in the middle of a complete ground up restoration project (170A) and was curious, does the club (or any of it's members) happen to have a listing of all control cable lengths and dimensions? I understand I can pick up a complete kit from McFarlane. And that's cool, but we have the ability to create our own cables. The only cables I can easily make out the lengths on are the rudder and elevator cables. The rest are kind of a mystery.
I ask because my project arrived with only 1 cable. I can give part numbers, but really I'm looking for the whole gamut. I'd love to see what's been documented already. Thanks, all!

What type of equipment do you have access to.......to make the cable assemblies, and to pre-stretch and load test them?

Fortunately I share a hangar with Fifi and all of their awesome mechanics and tooling who will be helping me. I will be deferring to their expertise on this particular task.

Also, I am absolutely more than happy to listen, read, and learn anything of importance from the community here! Including important "gotchas".

OK, that's the coolest thing I've heard in a really long time.

Let me know the part numbers you want and I can get you some good information.

They actually moved from Cavanaugh over to the Vintage Flying Museum at Meacham (KFTW). It's really cool because our hangar is a hangar designed specifically for B-29s! I'll try to grab a few photos of the little 140 I feed and nurture sitting next to Fifi. The hangar is so big it fits the 29, the 24, two A-26s, a Stearman, a T6, a T33 and a few little odds and ends like the little 140. When the 170 is complete it will hang out there too!

If memory serves that hangar was moved from Pyote AFB to Meacham. That is an interesting museum. Say hello to Pat Mahaffey for me and get him to reup in the 170 assn.

Will do! Pat is a great guy. He's been busy flying a Gooney Bird for Christmas Light rides lately. His 170 is going to aid us greatly as we manufacture new components.

If you talk sweetly to McFarlane they will likely share their cable length data with you. But if you don't have the old cables to measure... you will have a bit of risk getting the proper end fittings.
