WTB: front seats

I've decided that my 170B seats are getting pretty tired. Not just the upholstery, but the mechanical components as well. Where can a guy get a nice, matched set of front seats? I've cruised eBay, Beegles, Skywagon City, Texas Air Salvage and Flying Fish. There are a couple prospects, but it's hard to tell anything about the condition of the cams, rollers, etc from the pictures.

Right now I have articulating seats with height adjust on the pilot side, and square-ish seat backs. I would like to find similar, and send them out for the full-on power-coat and recover treatment. I don't think my old frames are worthy of the investment.

Anybody know what Cessna seats will fit a 170B, and which might be approved?

Anybody have some they'd like to sell?

Thanks

I have two sets of original style square back front seats in Anchorage that came out of my 170 and 180 with upholstery in place.

I also have a couple sets of later style front seat bare frames in Texas.

Plus, I have two seats of C-206 utility middle seats in Alaska if you are interested in a back seat upgrade.

I believe Cessna sent out a letter stating any Series 100 seats are ok in any Series 100 plane except the C-150 as long as the tracks are the same. Or something like that.

If you at all get upset by dissappointment, I'd install the new seats and kind of forget trying to get an approval from the fuzz.

What's wrong with your current seats? Can't you re-bush or re-build them?
Probably anything you buy will need new seat rollers and bushings in the articulation anyway. At least you know yours.

Good points, however I'd also prefer to avoid any down time while re-building, refinishing and reupholstering.

Thanks for the replies so far.

Paul, Thanks for the tip. I ended up getting those seats from the ad you posted.
Wondering if somebody should tell bagarre what airplane skis are for.
