Electric fuel pump type/ID for AVCON 180 hp conversion

I have an AVCON 180 conversion for my '52 B model. I need a new electric fuel pump and can't find any ID or model or make on the one I now have. I don't have any AVCON drawings that might help. I would appreciate any info on same.
I also see that the electric fuel pump is installed in series (that is in-line in front of) the engine fuel pump, and wonder if it is correctly installed.
It seems to me it would be better installed in parallel; as it is when you disconnect the fuel line at the junction with the engine fuel pump (and after it has gone through the electric pump first) there is very little fuel flow induced by gravity flow. Any enlightenment on if that sounds normal would be appreciated, too.
