I have a 170 B that has some hail damage to the wings, the ailerons have been replaced but am looking to do rest of wing top and leading edge. I live in Iowa and saw a ad on Barnstormers for a place in Foley Mn AERO SPECIALTY SERVICES that has the jigs. has anybody had any experience with them? Also is it possible to do paint-less dent removal? Thanks.

I have no experience with the place in Minnesota, but I can recommend Mountain Airframe in Arkansas, two states south of you. They have the jigs, and can fabricate the skins, including leading edges. Del Lehmann, one of the owners, is "wingnut" on these forums.

I'll check with my IA. He's been sending 180 and 185 wings somewhere in MN. Says the guy is good.

I have used the shop in Foley MN several times. Good work. Very reasonable.

There is a shop down in Alabama that does re-skinning. Friends that have used them seem happy with the work and prices.

Thanks for your input. Think I will call the place in Minn first closer and sounds like they do good work.

Michael, my AI did confirm that he uses the person in Foley. He reaffirms that his work is of good quality.

Michael if Minn. is close maybe Williams Aero-motive in Indiana is also close, certainly worth considering.
