We will have N5000A (1st production 172) fully restored at OSH. One of the last pieces is the ADF antenna mast. In the pictures it almost looks like a wooden stick. We have the aluminum base but not the stick itself. Any help would be appreciated.

I have a mast from my '54 180 that might do the job.
If you are still in need, send me an e-mail or phone and I'll send pics to you of what I have.
Basically about 6" tall x 1" at base, tapering up to 1/2" at the top.
2 holes in lower portion for bracket and thin slit and hole for ADF wire to pass through at the top.
I removed my ADF a few years back and for some reason kept the mast - looks like mahogany or similar.
Painted same as my aircraft color however.

I also have the holder and a piece of teak to make a stand for an amateur HF antenna that I thought about using a handheld.

The original was made of linen impregnated with phenolic resin, similar to aircraft pulleys and the elev. trim wheel.
It was originally intended for a long-wire communication antenna and later adapted for ADF and HF uses.
