thumb latch spring for 1952 170B passenger door lock.

the spring on my passenger door lock is broken. the part number is 0411591. any ideas on where to get the part or a reasonable alternative?

Cessna use to sell a door latch repair kit with several of the parts in it call a cessna parts dealer and ask I don't have the P/N any more.

There is a subject called "Door Latches" latches. Search for it.

It has a lot of information including the current part number and where to go to buy or make your own spring. I made my own which didn't really work well but while I had the latch apart I realized that the addition of another spring I just had laying around solved the problem.

I found a spring at ACE hardward. It had to be bent a little to catch just right. It has been working for two or three years now.
