gear leg replacement

While I was at the Northwest Aviation Trade Show at Puyallup Washington yesterday,I spent some time talking to Tom Anderson of XP Modifications. He's the guy with the STC for installing an IO-360 Continental in 170's. His main thing is actually big tailwheels for 180/185's ,hence his nickname Tailwheel Tom. He sells one that uses a 500x5 tire--wow!
He also sells brand new titanium & steel 180-185 gear legs. They're big bucks, esp. the titanium (double wow--over $6K a set!). But he told me he often gets used gear legs in trade. After reconditioning,he said he usually gets around $2200 a set. He said that on occasion he also gets 170B lady legs.
So he'd be a good source to check with if you're looking for gear legs. He's in Wenatchee Wa. http://www.xpmods.com
