Placard Questions

As I’m going through my annual inspection on my 170A I’m wanting to freshen up a couple placards in the cabin. The first one is the fuel selector. There is enough there for it to be readable, but it can be better. The second placard is right in front of the fuel selector and behind the flap handle. I can only read a portion of it. It looks like “???? ON FOR TAKEOFF ? LANDING”.
Two questions:
1. Can you help me fill in the blanks on the rectangular placard? What should it say?
2. What is the best way to redo the text on these?
Thanks,
Doug

That placard should read BOTH TANKS ON FOR TAKEOFF & LANDING. All the required placards are spelled out in the one page Airplane Flight Manual required to be carried in the airplane. I recently made a set using Avery 00750 self-laminating label paper in my ink jet printer. (The metal plate for the tanks placard wasn’t in our recently acquired airplane, so I made one that fit on the selector plate).

The complete list of required placards are those in the AFM, the TCDS which has a few more for certain installed equipment, and any others required by 337 or STC for modification.

Thanks for the quick replies!
I had looked through the parts catalog and owners manual (where I work that is where we document the decals on our machines), but didn't think to look at the AFM.
Also, I don't believe I have the larger placard about normal and utility categories. Where does this go? I assume any free spot on the panel?

This one usually was on the front of the map/glove box door.

Not he cheapest...and not all the placards will be utilized.... but here’s some “ready-made” that might be helpful and include some such as you want:
