The International Cessna^® 170 Association

Hey Guys!

I'm back again. After about 3 weeks of work and a lot of research, my 170 deal near Nashville fell through. Good news is I've made an offer on another one west of San Antonio TX at Garner Field (KUVA) pending a prebuy. I'm hoping there's someone in this community that could point me in the direction of a trustworthy person to complete a prebuy on it. The owner is willing to fly it to nearby airports if required.

Unfortunately, Uvalde is a long way south of Amarillo. Unless of course you are from south Texas.

Richard Pulley is not too far away in Fredericksburg and maybe he can recommend someone.

Fredericksburg Aero, Steve Allen, 830-990-9050, has a good shop intimately familiar with old Cessnas. Steve has a C-195, Stearman, Super Cub, and used to own N1714D, a 1951 C-170A.

Randy Long, 325-625-5495, up in Coleman, 35miles south of Abilene is also a very good shop for C170s/180s. Randy converted a straight tail 182 to a taildragger and has rebuilt several 170s.

They are both unbelievably busy, even with the Kung Flu going on, so it may be awhile before they can get to it. Give them my name and it might get your foot in the door a little sooner.

Texas has travel restrictions for persons entering Texas from certain states so check on that before you travel here.
