I was under the impression that an IFR GPS could be substituted for DME? I am thinking of going with the GNC 355 and a G5, GI 275, or AV-30, and getting rid of my King DME. stefancrucil wrote:Firgured I would post an update of what I ended up doing, decided to keep it VFR and went with a garmin Aera 660 with air gizmo mount, GTX 335, GTR 225, and removed the piano keys and fuses and replaces with CB’s and toggles as well as a landing light controller to change between flashing and solid landing/ taxi light
