Extended baggage for a rag wing??

Does anyone have any experience with and extended baggage area for the ragwing? I'm getting close to tackling the interior and I'm trying not to backtrack with work. I'd really like to extend the baggage area. I know the A and B model have a couple STC's but, I've yet to find one for my '48
Thanks

Can you share what you know of an extended baggage for the A model? Have a friend that would be interested.

The B model is the only 170 that truly has STC's for extended baggage.
The straight 170 and the A model have control cables running up the middle of the fuselage just aft of the baggage area, which make extending it problematic. I've seen one A model with an extended baggage area, that you had to put baggage in around the vertical control cables. I think may have been a home grown solution.
I am aware of the stretcher mod "back in the day" where the feet would go in past the control cables, but have no real knowledge of the information on that. There are others on here well versed on that modification.

The stretcher mod, consists a 4 corner canvas bag that extends behind the aft baggage wall about 2 ft. It is soft, including the floor.
