Best handling 800x6 tire for pavement?

Hi, We are wanting to replace the tires currently on our C170B (800x6 by 6ply Air Trac's at 26psi). We mostly work on airport and once in a while grass. We would like a firmer sidewall and are trying to decide between Air Hawk or Condor. Any suggestions on a 800x6 tire that has better ground handling characteristics on pavement?

The original tire is a 4Ply sidewall. A 6 Ply rated tire such you are now using will already have a stiffer sidewall than original. I suspect any handling issues might be gear-alignment and/or technique related. Have you checked the gear alignment?

Thanks for your feedback. We did check the alignment shortly after purchase. Alignment corrections were made which helped improve the condition, however it is still more 'challenging' on the ground compared to the 4 other B model's I have flown. I have had other pilots fly the plane and they've noticed the same handling characteristics... so trying to work through possible contributing factors.

What is the plane doing ? If the consensus feels it wanders more than others, might it need another alignment check with a different set of eyes ?
Tires L/H and R/H should be wearing evenly and the wear should be occurring more on the outside tread than the inside tire tread. If you have put time on the tires, they should be telling the tale.
