Why you need an annual inspection on buying an aircraft.

More correctly why a buyer’s inspection should be an annual inspection by an independent IA.
I just noticed that my old Tcraft, N96095, is for sale. I owned it in the mid 70s until my wife and her instructor crashed a perfectly functioning airplane. I elected to sell the wreck although it was quite repairable, just expensive.
When I IM’ed the seller on FB marketplace, he told me that “this plane has no damage history.” Unfortunately he is probably right since it has been through a few owners in the intervening years. I probably wrecked his evening as well.
