I don’t know of one that particular date… there’s a big Fly In June 22 in Burlington VT. :P

Usually not a Texas monthly fly-in during convention month.

I would gladly attend if we had one. I always seem to not be able to make the date or they are 2+ hours away.

Thanks guys, I forgot about the convention.

John Klaerner and I are going to meet for lunch someplace, either in Fredericksburg, T82 or some other airport. Llano is always a good choice for Cooper's BBQ.

If anyone is interested in meeting for lunch, let me know before Saturday and we'll make final plans and decide where to go by Friday evening.

Sounds like fun, but my plane is down for an engine overhaul.

It has been decided we will be eating lunch at Nacho's Cafe in Mason, TX meeting there at 11:45 on Saturday June 4, 2022. Nacho's is on the NW side of Mason going out of town on Hwy 87 toward Brady. If anyone is driving, we'll meet you there.

A rancher friend has invited John and I to land at his 1800' ranch strip about 7 miles west of Mason and we'll ride in with him to lunch.

If anyone wants to fly into the ranch strip you need to contact me for directions and landing info by Friday night. He has agreed for other 170s to land there, it will be at your own risk and you should limit load to 2 people. It's a good taildragger strip but not for nose wheel planes.

Richard, Mason County airport is 3 mi. SE of town and has plenty of runway and self-serve fuel: https://www.airnav.com/airport/T92

My Saturday “may” open-up… but 1800’ in summertime might be less interesting.
