Looking to go to my first Oshkosh this year with 89A. Is anyone flying out from the SW US? We'll be starting at L00 (Rosamond, Ca) and wouldn't mind tagging along if others are headed that way as well.

I'll send my info in for parking.

Thanks! Chris

If you can leave early enough we’d love to see you at the Convention as well!

I was hoping to catch the last few days of the convention before Airventure, but my work/vacation situation probably won't allow it. Does anyone know if there will be any kind of 170 owner/pilot/member gathering at Oshkosh? Maybe the Sunday night before the show?

Doug

Is it known where we will park?

Or is that still TBD?

The group parking is planned to be just South of Aircraft Repair and East of the Judges Building. Approx around row 74.

Thanks Karl, I just saved it to "Documents" in Foreflight so I don't have to search for it when I get there.

Not sure where the repair or judges building is.
Is that next to (south) of the Vintage Bldg ?
Planning on being there Friday or Saturday morning.
Will we use VAP parking sign our windscreen ?

You will be receiving detailed instructions via email.
Pilots that are registered with Dave Finamore per the instructions in the first post will be receiving an email with the detailed procedure what sign to place in the window when you land. The VAA Flight Line people will take you to the group parking. If you land North of the VAA area, you will need to use the VAC sign to get you South (Vintage area) and then show the Flight Line people the 170 Group parking sign.
The Cessna 170 Vintage Reunion parking is South of the Vintage Hangar, Vintage Red Barn, Machine Shed Quonset building. EDIT: North of Ultralight
See you there,
Dan

I’ve camped there before with a small group of 170 ers. We knew a storm was coming (when does that not happen) and I mentioned to my neighbour I’d help him if things got stupid. Well it did but I slept through it, my air mattress kept me above the water level in my tent. In the morning when I emerged, their large tent had blown away and they had had a terrible night. I’ve always felt bad about that. Last years storm I didn’t sleep through, lets hope mother nature relents this year but I’ve got a new mattress just in case.
Its a great spot, showers are right there, obviously central, maybe a bit of noise at night but better than 40’s night road noise.
