Garmin G5 issues

Some of our members have the Garmin G5 fitted to their aircraft and unfortunately there are issues with the battery in the G5. My problem was my battery in my HSI wouldn’t charge beyond 75% . So there is now a “Mandatory” service bulletin that should be complied with. The service bulletin NO.22013 Rev A . OH!! There is more , Service bulletin No. 2151Rev B Also applies . This battery must be fully charged for IFR flight . The web site ,support.garmin.com should have all the details . It appears Garmin will give you a new one if less than 2 years old but you must fill a RMA form . The G5 ,s must be updated also to Certified SWv8.02. Part no for the battery is 010-12493-02
