The yellow Airmaster in the picture is 19464 or it could be 19494. I have flown 19464 in the mid eighties. My friend and IA owned it. He crashed in 1989. Departure stall on a bounced go around. Unfortunately he died a few months later. The wreck was purchased by persons unknown. I think it was rebuildable. Not sure of its status now.

In one of those six degrees of separation stories, at the time I owned a modified Fleet 16B licensed experimental by Ken Flaglor in 1957. It was The Flaglor Hi Tow serial #1. The only one. He used it to tow gliders. When my friend bought the Airmaster we went through the logs and found Ken had owned it at one time. Speaking with Ken, he told me he accomplished an engine change from a 145 Warner to the 165 Warner.

And finally, the Fleet is now with Ken’s nephew, Tom. Tom recently sold his 170B!
