1955 170B ground turning radius.
Does the tail turn inside of the wing radius?
In other words, if in taxiing between a row of hangers and my wingtips are clear, what kind of clearance do I need to do a 180 degree swing?

Well…. the wingspan is 37-feet…and the length of the fuselage is 25-feet. So the distance from the left main to the tailwheel is shorter than from the left main and the right wingtip… Depending upon whether you pivot to the Left…or the Right…. you might strike the Right Wingtip to the Left…and the Left Wingtip to the Right.

….and….Beware! Striking that wingtip in such a manner subjects the REAR WING ATTACH point to SEVERE FORCES which can get expensive. GroundLoops can do this also.
