Rudder Bonding Strap

My Uavionix Tailbeacon ADS-B unit is having some transmission problems that appear to relate to the quality of the power and/or ground return connection. The factory recommends installing either a ground strap from the rudder to the fin or fuselage or installing a dedicated ground wire directly up to the firewall and, if necessary, replacing the existing power wire itself.

To begin, the least costly route would be to install a ground strap of some length like those Macfarlane manufactures for later model Cessnas. Has anyone else done this and could suggest an appropriate length for the strap and mounting details?

Thanks,

Pete I installed mine, I’ve had zero problems.
I do / did install a ground wire from the middle of the last bulkhead to the top of the lower rudder attach bracket, maybe 6” long , I had it before going to the TBX. I have multiple ground wires from the engine to firewall, as I hate electrical gremlins. I would have a close look at your pins, crimps on the pins, possibly with a magnifying glass. Hopefully its something simple giving you grief.
