Below is a video showing the movement of my flap linkage. I am lifting the flap slightly up and down. You can see slop in the bolt attach points. Seems like the holes are out of round. Unless this is supposed to be like this. Please let me know your thoughts.

Is it slop/wear?
Is it a safety issue?
Are parts available if I need to resolve it?
Has anyone repaired or modified this in the past? If so I would love to hear what approach you took.
Am I being too picky as this is common place?

The slop on the bellcrank (p/n 0523224) where the link assembly is attached seems excessive to me. If your A&P determines that there is not enough material on the bellcrank to press a bushing in, you can buy a used or NOS bellcrank from Preferred Air Parts.

Definitely take the attach points apart as you can see a bit of bolt rotation, likely meaning there’s some wear into the bolt shank. Replacing the bolts might get you some time (depending on the hole health, remaining material) to source a sector if needed and have planned downtime for permanent fix.

Yep…definitely too much “slop”. Removing this bellcrank for use as a stencil and duplicating it yourself using the same type material would qualify as an “owner produced part”.
